Fabrication, Characterization and Integration of Organic Thin-Film Transistors (C01)
Subject Area
Electronic Semiconductors, Components and Circuits, Integrated Systems, Sensor Technology, Theoretical Electrical Engineering
Term
since 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 281029004
In this project, we continuously improve the performance and long-term environmental and operational stability of organic thin-film transistors, especially of n-channel organic transistors, since these are of particular importance for the implementation of low-power complementary circuits. For this purpose we will mainly employ the N-heteropolycycles synthesized in the projects A01, A02, A03, A04 and A05. Through systematic comparisons of the results we will be able to reveal important structure-property relationships. For each new semiconductor we will conduct a series of tests to find the optimum process conditions. Based on selected semiconductors we will fabricate integrated circuits to demonstrate the potential of novel organic semiconductors for real applications.
