Project Details
Confronting neutrino experiments with model building and cosmology (N03)
Subject Area
Nuclear and Elementary Particle Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Relativity, Fields
Term
since 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 283604770
This project connects the experimental results expected from other projects and the theory of neutrino masses and cosmology. The impact of quantum effects on neutrino parameters in simple extensions of the Standard Models and the possible implications for connecting precision neutrino measurements at different energy scales will be investigated. Also, the electromagnetic multipoles of active and sterile neutrinos in scenarios beyond the Standard Model will be studied. Finally, the interconnection of the observed quark-antiquark asymmetry in the Universe with neutrino mass models, neutrino-less double beta decay, electric dipole moments, and the Universe’s dark matter will be examined.
