Biased beliefs in dynamic decisions: extensions to policy and communication (A02)

Subject Area Economic Policy, Applied Economics
Statistics and Econometrics
Term since 2017
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 280092119

Project Description

The project focuses on the dynamic nature of expectations of individuals and households. Much of the project’s completed research in the second funding period concerns human capital accumulation and financial investments, combining the empirical approaches of structural modelling and causal inference with those in laboratory and survey experiments. In the third funding period, the project team will extend this work to new policy domains: monetary policy, pension policy and climate policy. In some of the project’s studies, a special emphasis lies on policy communication and its relation with behavior of households.
