Trier University intends to support the publication of articles in open access journals with a lasting Publication Fund set up with the help of the German Research Foundation (DFG). Right from the start all kinds of services related to electronic publishing ought to be supported by efficient, equitable and sustainable APC-mangement-structures.The services intended adapt themselves to the needs of the University's scientists and are scalable and customizable and can be accommodated to changing requirements. The University's future strategy for Open Access is based on the Guiding Principles for Open-Access-Transformation of the Alliance of Science Organizations in Germany from March 2016.
