We strive to extend the anisotropic Raman formalism developed for the transparency regime by us to the absorption spectral range, so that it can be used in the full spectral range of optically anisotropic crystals. Especially the following effects on the polarization dependent Raman scattering will be investigated in detail: The presence of singular optic axis in low symmetry materials, the presence of resonances in the absorption spectral range, the complex-valued Raman tensor and the presence of optical activity.
