Heuristic, statistical and analytical experimental design (P02)

Subject Area Theoretical Computer Science
Term from 2016 to 2020
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 276397488

Project Description

The gap between a polynomial scalable high throughput system and an exponentially large search space requires the prioritization of search candidates and well-chosen process chains for each search candidate. This project defines criteria for this elective process that are based on the projected knowledge gain created by running said descriptors on given search candidates, and the current state of the system. Consequently, to allow a time efficient response for changes in prioritization, this project develops stream-based algorithms for evaluating experimental results more efficiently. In order to incorporate these changes in prioritization, predefined sequences of process chains are determined, that enable a quick adjustment in production planning.
