Molecular switches in the synchronization of the circadian oscillator (A17)

Subject Area Bioinformatics and Theoretical Biology
Term since 2016
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 278001972

Project Description

In project A17, fundamental cell biological processes that occur when the cellular circadian clock is switched to a new state by an acute zeitgeber pulse will be elucidated, e.g. the molecular number and complex size of individual components, the complex assembly, and which components directly interact with each other. We combine new CRISPR-generated knock-in reporter cell lines with a variety of advanced single-cell fluorescence microscopy techniques (e.g. fluorescence (cross)correlation spectroscopy, FLIM-FRET).
