Final Report Abstract
The project „Thermodynamics and crystal chemistry of copper arsenates“ included the determination of thermodynamic properties and crystal structures of several end member copper arsenates as well as of solid solutions of such minerals. The thermodynamic data will be presented in publications and made available for databases of thermodynamic software such as PHREEQC or Geochemist’s Workbench. Additionally, we analyzed isotopic fractionation between malachite and aqueous solution for a better insight into the formation of secondary minerals. All together, we enhanced our understanding of the processes that form secondary minerals in ore deposits with this project.
