Neuropsychological and neurochemical underpinnings of perceived controllability: a translational approach (C07)
Subject Area
Human Cognitive and Systems Neuroscience
Term
from 2016 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 264810226
Project C07 is a translational project that investigates the influence of perceived controllability on stress experience as well as on stress-related changes in affect, cognitive performance and escape behavior in humans as well as in animals. Focusing on psychological (self-efficacy expectancy, stress responsiveness, reinforcement learning) and neurobiological (prefrontal activation) mechanisms, we will identify predictors of high perceived controllability and its relation to stress resilience.
