Driven Dynamics in Interacting Quantum Many-Body Systems (B03)

Subject Area Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term since 2016
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 278162697

Project Description

The project is devoted to non-equilibrium dynamics of strongly interacting quantum many-body systems such as the Fermi-Hubbard model. While previous works mostly studied the dynamics after an external stimulus, we shall now focus on the evolution during the external stimulus. Varying its parameters like intensity, frequency, and phase allows us to control the induced non-equilibrium dynamics. The Floquet approach will be combined with the hierarchy of correlations in order to generalize previous results.
