Corpora in Motion. Making Accessible Epistemic Transfer in Premodern Cultures Through Digital Means (INF)

Subject Area Humanities
Term from 2016 to 2024
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 191249397

Project Description

The project develops methods and practices for the digital exploitation and visualization of epistemic changes within long-term processes of premodern corpora using travelling manuscripts, codices, prints, albums and library inventories. The 'Episteme Research Data Repository' will serve as a basis for the preservation of the digital data objects including their descriptive metadata of all projects of the SFB and as a platform for the exploitation tools. Together with the project GP01 the close cooperation between the humanities and applied computer science will be established. Thus the SFB-project will serve as a pilot for DARIAH-DE for the implementation of complex institutional cooperation and sustainability.
