We will study the interaction between excitons in 2D transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) monolayers and plasmon modes. These hybrid structures are an attractive platform to investigate light-matter interactions in open nanosystems as they combine the large oscillator strength of the TMDC excitons with the tailored electromagnetic near-field of the plasmons. Our goal is to demonstrate the chiral interaction of spatially separated excitons mediated by a plasmonic waveguide. Moreover, we will use femtosecond spectroscopy to study the dynamics of exciton-plasmon polaritons.
