Subject Area

Term
from 2016 to 2024
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 290391021
Project F5 looks at the dynamic relationship between past technological change and the society in a longterm and from supra-regional perspective. New technologies can be a response to change, a trigger or a direct cause of societal or environmental transformation. In Phase 2, the project will continue to investigate culturally specific and general patterns in the relationship between new technolo-gies and transformations in socio-environmental interactions. Invited internationally renowned scholars will engage in dialogues with the CRC 1266 researchers and, together with them, as Mercator Fellows, organise international workshops to infuse external perspectives into the CRC 1266.
