Key elements of the IRTG qualification programme comprise: (1) supervision and mentoring (TAC meetings), (2) special training courses/qualification workshops, (3) annual IRTG-internal retreats, (4) scientific education via ‘Lunch Lectures’ and seminars by invited speakers, (5) soft skills seminars, (6) laboratory exchanges between TRR179 groups and external collaborating partners and (7) casual virtual network meetings in the“IRTG-Café”. New measures include the expansion of initiated cooperation with other doctoral programs of related DFG consortia and integration of educational content related to the emphasis of TRR179 on translational research and therapeutic applications.
