Secondary fans of Riemann surfaces (A11*)
Subject Area

The purpose of this project is to study secondary fans of Riemann surfaces and explore how their geometric and combinatorial structure can be used to answer questions about Riemann surfaces, algebraic curves, and moduli spaces. Here is a list of questions that we will address:Is the secondary fan polytopal? That is, does there also exist a secondary polytope? How can the secondary fans of Riemann surfaces be characterized? Which properties of a Riemann surface can be read off from its fan? How does the classification of Riemann surfaces by the combinatorial type of their secondary fan decompose Teichmüller and moduli spaces?
