Project Details
Right ventricular (RV) function in pulmonary hypertension and impact of targeted interventions on RV-PA (pulmonary artery) coupling (B08)
Subject Area
Pneumology, Thoracic Surgery
Term
since 2016
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 268555672
Project B08 aims to comprehensively investigate RV function, RV-PA interaction, and RV afterload during both rest and exercise. It will employ various imaging techniques such as cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and echocardiography, along with advanced methods to assess pulmonary hemodynamics (e.g., conductance catheterization, Corlog analyzes, and impedance analysis). We will investigate all types of PH. Furthermore, clinical, registry-based studies will assess the effects of different interventions, including SGLT2 inhibitors and interventional atrial fibrillation therapy, based on the physiological insights gained from the respective in-depth measurements and analyses.
