Project Details
Global analysis of particles and their interactions (B06)
Subject Area
Analytical Chemistry
Term
from 2016 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 268730352
This project continues to establish a global analysis of various particle properties directly in the dispersion state in form of whole distributions using fractionating analysis techniques. We will progress to quantitative assessment of interactions between stabilizer molecules and nanoparticles as well as between similar and dissimilar nanoparticles as complete distributions of stoichiometries and equilibrium constants, which was not possible so far. This methodology has the promise to quantify face-specific interactions for the first time, which are important for a tailored nanoparticle assembly.
