Laser based electrical and mechanical contacting of composite materials with integrated active elements (A04)

Subject Area Production Automation and Assembly Technology
Term from 2006 to 2018
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 21440441

Project Description

To enable high-volume production for the proposed nozzle-based droplet brazing process on sensitive substrates, reproducibility and robustness of the method will be increased significantly. To ensure joints with high strength and conductivity in serial production, control strategies will be developed to provide a basis for automation, and the nozzle geometry as well as the material are to be optimized. By local coating of polymer powder and simultaneous laser melting directly after the electrical joining, an insulation layer will be produced within an integrated process in order to shorten the process chain.
