The "Integrated Research Training Group" (IRTG) in planetary sciences will train the next generation of planetary scientists from different disciplines based on a graduate programme that is unique to Germany. Doctoral and M.Sc. students will gain specialized knowledge and skills related to the student's research area, topical knowledge related to planetary sciences, transferable skills needed for career success. Seminars and courses will be offered at institutes in Berlin and Münster as part of semester curricula and during the joint TRR 170 summer/winter schools. The latter will be open to other interested students from Germany and abroad, and will be supported by invited guest scientists.
