Clonal evolution of high risk acute myeloid leukemia (A07)

Although substantial progress has been made in understanding the biology and pathogenesis of AML, the mechanisms leading to drug resistance and relapse are only poorly understood. In the proposed project we aim at (1) Functional characterization of relapse associated genes KDM6A and WT1 (2) Identification of mechanisms of drug resistance using forward genetic screening and (3) Overcoming drug resistance by multiple targeting of AML-specific targets.
