Media of Praxeology I: Multisensory Mediality and Cooperative Practice (P01)

Subject Area Theatre and Media Studies
History of Science
Term since 2016
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 262513311

Project Description

The project investigates the multisensorial practices of embodied cooperation and their socio-technical mediatization. The praxeological approach combines the reconstruction of ethnomethodo-logical theory – based on Garfinkel's tutorials – with two empirical analyses of object-related and in-tercorporeal practices in tasting and professional physiotherapy. The project respecifies the role of vision and blindness in the synesthetic organization and its digital mediation and extends the digital praxeology by showing how embodied and intercorporeal practices of cooperation are fundamental to the field of multisensoriality.
