From smart speakers to smart homes: How are data-intensive sensory media domesticated through linguistic, gestural and sense-related interactions; how are language, bodies and the senses involved in the ,intelligent‘ domestic environment; and how are households captured through digital means? The project examines these research questions with a mix of analyses of recordings of multimodal interactions, ethnographic (video) data, media diaries as well as the analysis of processual and inter-face technologies related to digital platforms (APIs and SDKs). In this sense, the study aims to eluci-date the fore- and the background of the use of smart devices.
