Manufacturing Technologies of Functional Piezoelectric Components for Integration into Lightweight Structures (A01)

Subject Area Thermodynamics and Kinetics as well as Properties of Phases and Microstructure of Materials
Term from 2006 to 2018
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 21440441

Project Description

Aim of the subproject is the research on functional piezoelectric components for integration into lightweight structures and the development of serial production techniques to fabricate them. The work will focus on design, manufacturing and characterization of piezoceramic-polymer-composites and LTCC/PZT modules (LTCC = low temperature cofired ceramics, PZT = lead zirconate titanate). Properties of components will be tailored to fulfill adaptive functions and requirements resulting from the integration process. This will be achieved by careful selection and alignment of components, 3D-machining and deposition of structured electrodes.
