Atmospheric composition and ocean color feedback to Arctic amplification (C03)

Subject Area Atmospheric Science
Oceanography
Term since 2016
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 268020496

Project Description

This project develops time series of Arctic satellite data on atmospheric halogens and biogeochemistry in the ocean surface layer covering nearly three decades. The measurements are analyzed and integrated into models to study small scale phenomena and long-term changes of oceanic and tropospheric composition. Based on the model results, the radiative effects of the different processes are evaluated, focusing on their relevance for Arctic amplification.
