In project A04, we are advancing ab initio calculations to medium-mass and heavy nuclei by developing and applying the in-medium similarity renormalization group and the in-medium no-core shell model. With these, we will explore novel two- and three-nucleon interactions and support the key experiments for structure and electroweak observables in this CRC. We will investigate electromagnetic form factors of medium-mass nuclei including two-body-current contributions. Moreover, we will explore importance-truncation techniques and develop a multi-reference active-space formulation to handle more general reference-state truncations.
