Digital subtraction angiography has become state-of-the-art imaging technique for endovascular interventions. It allows visual observation of the dissolution behavior of contrast agents within vessels and to draw conclusions on the hemodynamics of blood flow. Despite standardized units have been established, this observation is highly subjective and causes measurements of different people to be not entirely comparable. In this proposal, a research network is applied for. The overall goal is to bring together methodologies that have been developed in the single groups involved, throughout the past years. These will be advanced further allow for the presentation and quantification of personalized blood flow dynamics in diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease. This goal should be primarily delivered by publications in prestigious, international journals (Open Access). It is also planned to form a consortium for a major national or international research proposal. To this end, financial requests are made exclusively for travel, event and publication costs that arise for network meetings, to fund visits by scientists and Open Access publications.
