We study the interaction of spin waves and spin-wave pulses with domain walls in lithographically patterned Ni81Fe19 micro- and sub-micrometer sized stripes by means of micro-focus Brillouin light scattering spectroscopy. We focus on two aspects: 1) we characterize the spin-wave properties, such as transmission and reflection coefficients as well as phase shift, when passing through a locally pinned domain wall. Here the domain wall can be assumed as a static element representing a local, fixed magnetization gradient. 2) we investigate spin-wave induced domain wall displacement. The effect of the transfer of angular momentum from the spin wave to the domain wall will be studied.
