Preparation of Sequence-Controlled Covalent Networks (COFs) via Cross-Linking of Metal Organic Frameworks (C06)

Subject Area Solid State and Surface Chemistry, Material Synthesis
Term from 2016 to 2020
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 259079535

Project Description

The sequence-controlled manufacturing of three-dimensional porous networks (SURGELs) by cross-linking surface-bound metal organic frameworks (SURMOFs) will be achieved by means of new functional primary and secondary linkers. The development of new cross-linking reactions (for example, by metal catalysis, photo-induced) as well as the use of different designed linkers controls the physical properties (e.g. mechanical properties). The modular and layered structure allows the complete geometry control in all three spatial directions.
