Sequence-Controlled Growth of Cross-Linked Polymer Layers on Surfaces (B02)

In this project, sequence-controlled cross-linked polymer layers shall be grown from a substrate, with the intention to incorporate different functionalities or gradients into the layers perpendicular to the substrate. Such layers may be beneficial for the optimisation of interface properties. In particular the application as protective layer on the negative electrode of lithium-ion batteries will be investigate in the project. Therefore, this project will develop strategies to coat graphite electrodes, commonly used as negative electrodes, with precisely defined layers and will investigate their electrochemical properties.
