Dissecting the cross talks between tissue resident memory T cells and kidney tissue (A04)

Subject Area Immunology
Term since 2016
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 264599542

Project Description

Aims of the project are: i) identification of TRM cell subsets and mechanisms responsible for the heterologous protection and aggravation of crescentic GN; ii) characterization of TRM cell-induced functional changes of renal hematopoietic and parenchymal cells; iii) uncovering cell–cell interaction between TRM cells, myeloid cells and renal cells; iv) evaluation of the identified T cell - renal cell interactions in human biopsies. In summary, we will determine the consequences of TRM cell – kidney cell interaction for renal immunity and autoimmunity.
