Project Details
Excitation and control of magnetization dynamics by nonlocal spin injection
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
from 2015 to 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 281441752
The main goal of this project is to achieve the deep understanding of the interaction between pure spin currents and the high-frequency magnetization dynamics. This will be done by exploring a new extremely flexible dynamical system, where spin currents are produced by using the nonlocal spin injection mechanism. This system provides numerous advantages in comparison with previously studied systems operating with spin-polarized electric current or pure spin current created by the spin-Hall effect. The possibilities of technical applications of nonlocal spin-injection devices in spintronics and magnonics will be investigated, as well.
