Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
from 2015 to 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 13266514
Ultrathin films of photoswitchable spin-crossover complexes will be prepared on ferromagnetic substrates under ultrahigh vacuum conditions. The electronic, magnetic, and structural properties of the adsorbate-substrate systems will be comprehensively characterized by synchrotron-based electron spectroscopy techniques as a function of temperature and light irradiation. Novel iron-based coordination compounds will be synthesized to prevent substrate-induced fragmentation.
