Project Details
Languages and Compilers for Energy-Efficient Programming (B07)
Subject Area
Computer Architecture, Embedded and Massively Parallel Systems
Term
from 2015 to 2020
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 164481002
The goal of this project is to provide a bridge from applications, through appropriate programming languages and optimizing compilers, to the highly adaptive hardware and software architecture of the HAEC Box. Key in this phase are domain-specific software abstractions that enable high-level program transformations and a tighter integration with the runtime environment for adaptive energy-efficient execution. The latter includes rich compiler-extracted meta-information about implementation variants and just-in-time compilation.
