Project Description

This project uses polarization resolved far-infrared magneto-optical spectroscopy to provide detailed knowledge of the energetic band-structure of HgTe based topological thin films. The main objective is to establish the region of parameter space, in which HgTe based thin films energetically constitute a 3D topological insulator or Weyl semimetal phase.
