Project Description

The proposed project aims to minimize the mechanical anisotropy of Mg extrusions using solute alloying elements, which inhibit deformation twinning. The selected alloying elements reduce the twinning activity by hindering twin nucleation or twin growth and thereby, generating largely isotropic mechanical properties.
