Term
since 2015
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 256073931
C03, Prinz, will continue to investigate tissue macrophage features and cellular interactions during Sandhoff disease, a lysosomal storage disease, characterized by systemic immunopathology resulting from impaired macrophage homeostasis. Based on these disease-specific insights and the associated technological advances, C03 will tackle the highly ambitious project to establish a comprehensive organ atlas of cellular crosstalk between distinct stromal cells and tissue macrophages in relation to their spatial neighborhood. Anatomical niches surrounding tissue macrophage subsets will be carefully explored.
