Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 273523
The research training group on Educational Experience and Learner Development deals with a number of problems ranging from how children, adolescents and young adults behave in teaching and learning situations and how they interpret their work assignments to what can be done to promote their education. The main emphasis of the project is how learners view their educational process. From this point of view it is not only of interest to examine how learners acquire knowledge and skills but also how they develop the ability to decide things for themselves and act responsibly in an increasingly complex and difficult world. The basic problems addressed by the research training group can be divided into three topical areas involving a broad range of methods:1. projects concerning the didactics of various subject areas and educational pedagogy in schools,2. projects in the area of developmental psychology and developmental sociology,3. one project dealing with the subject of school development. The research training group provides financial assistance to 6 research students, 14 Ph.D. students and 2 post-doctoral researchers involved in 8 different research projects.
