Subject Area

Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 272029
The aim of the research training group is to promote an interdisciplinary, academic program of studies that includes the disciplines of theological, Islamic, religious, cultural and literary studies. Funded by the colloquium are doctoral students and post-doctoral fellows whose research is conducted in the disciplines mentioned above as well as in related fields. The colloquium is centered on interdisciplinary research in the areas of the Psalms, the canon and the reception history of the Bible. Seminars, excursions and academic colloquies with university professors are the main forms of co-operative work. Researchers from other universities are also involved in symposiums and workshops. The students and fellows present their respective research themes for discussion and criticism in the interdisciplinary context. A foundational reflection on the methodological plurality will significantly shape the scholars' experiential horizon.
