Project Description

The interdisciplinary teaching and research programme focuses on processes of technification which are investigated in view of their historical, political, social, philosophical and literary dimensions and their interdependencies and conditions. The programme does not treat technology as an isolated factor but looks at technology in its contexts of social actions, politics, perception etc. Technology is investigated as a structuring factor of objects, relations and developments. The contemporary technological civilisation, its origins and its prospects are analyzed from the viewpoint of various disciplines and in an interdisciplinary approach.
