GRK 276:  Signal Recognition and Transduction

Subject Area Basic Research in Biology and Medicine
Term from 1996 to 2005
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 271543

The research training group "Signal Recognition and Transduction" supports the interdisciplinary collaboration of clinical research and basic science research in the field of Molecular Medicine by offering a modern training course which is being continually adapted to the specific demands of these intersecting fields. In the research training group, basic scientists and clinicians join to pursue projects that study mechanisms of cellular signal recognition and transduction with special emphasis on their contribution to pathophysiological processes. The projects of the program have a common concept, i.e., the analysis of signaling pathways as essential approach for the understanding of the understanding of pathophysiological mechanisms relevant to human disease.
