The sub-project analyses discourses of strength and weakness during the late 13th and the 14th century. These discourses are considered against the background of a coeval discussion that was changed by the reception of Aristotelian political philosophy. The focus of the text interpretation lies on the systematic conflation of virulent questions. These are examined regarding a new ¿concept of politics¿ as proposed by Aristotelian philosophy.
