Spin-flip Raman scattering for studying spin interactions (B02)

Subject Area Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term from 2015 to 2023
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 249492093

Project Description

Spin-flip Raman scattering will be used for investigating the spin states of carriers, excitons, nuclei and magnetic ions and their interactions in a variety of diamagnetic, diluted magnetic and magnetically-ordered semiconductors and dielectrics. The goals are to obtain detailed information on the spin structure of exciton complexes, measure the g-factors of excitons and charged carriers, and address details of the interaction between the various spin systems of carriers, surface states, magnetic ions and nuclei. We will extend the studies to magnetically-ordered dielectrics and semiconductors and address the exciton-magnon interactions in them.
