Coherent control of the electronic and nuclear spins in quantum dot ensembles (A04)

Subject Area Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics
Term from 2015 to 2023
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 249492093

Project Description

This project aims for a quantitative description of the spin dynamics in driven quantum dots. The different simulation techniques developed in the previous period will be combined to study the effects of different g-factors, different hyperfine couplings and in particular different excitation energies in each quantum dot of the ensemble. Furthermore, the origin of the still not understood long-range spin-spin interaction between QDs and its impact on the spin dynamics will be clarified. We intend to investigate the influence of different pulse shapes and pulse trains to exploit tailored pulse sequences for coherent spin manipulations.
