Project Details
GRK 91: Modelling and Numerical Descriptions of Technical Fluid Flows
Subject Area
Mechanics and Constructive Mechanical Engineering
Term
from 1995 to 2004
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 269673
This research training group deals with the modelling and analysis of fluidmechanical systems, the development and adaption of appropriate numerical techniques and the numerical simulation of flow-related problems which occur in technical and industrial applications. Making use of the existing practical experience at the TU Darmstadt this program accompanies and supports Ph-D students and specialists in order to improve their research education and activities in different areas of thermofluiddynamics. In view of the promotion of an acceptable duration of Ph-D studies this program focusses on specialized specific topics including interdisciplanary elements and provides special courses on modern research fields in mechanical engineering, mechanics and applied mathematics, involving distinguished scientists from all over the world.
