Project Details
GRK 8: Quantitative Analysis and Characterisation of Pharmaceutically and Biochemically Relevant Compounds
Subject Area
Analytical Chemistry
Term
from 1995 to 2004
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 268879
The objective of the colleagues is to support and encourage highly qualified doctorates coming from different fields like chemistry, physics, biochemistry, pharmacy etc. with a specialisation in analytical chemistry of drugs and natural compounds. In this programme the Ph.D. students have an opportunity to obtain a wide spectrum of knowledge in analytical chemistry through interdisciplinary education and studies. Through lectures, compact seminars and invited lectures, they are motivated to methodically handle the entire analytical process from the sample collection to the evaluation. The lack of knowledge in fields, other than the one studied, is compensated through intensive discussions and exercises. The advantage of their expertise in guiding different working groups is taken to collaborate and work on the challenging problems in the analysis of natural and synthetic substances.
