In Project Ö the public outreach activities by the members and partner institutions are tied together, which creates synergies for joined activities and strengthens the network. Beside standard public outreach instruments such as press releases, public lectures and web sites also new avenues have been explored. During the second funding phase an annual holiday academy for female high school students and a project between scientist and artists named “Dialog of Stars” have been successfully implemented. Both projects enable a continuous dialog with the interested public, the holiday academy in particular with the target group high school students.
