Spray-wall-interaction in the cylinder of a highly charged internal combustion engine with direct injection (C02)

Subject Area Technical Thermodynamics
Term since 2015
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 237267381

Project Description

The aim of the subproject is to gain a detailed understanding of the mechanisms that lead to an enginedamaging preignition phenomenon. These mechanisms will be explored in particular for potential e-fuels, such as dimethyl carbonate. The causes of preignition phenomena are not fully disclosed processes relat-ed to the impact of a fuel spray on an oil-wetted cylinder wall.
