Project Details
Emergent non-Hermitian topology in correlated systems (A06)
Subject Area
Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics
Term
since 2015
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 247310070
This project will explore non-Hermitian physics in correlated magnetic systems, with particular reference to topological phenomena. We will investigate the extent and mechanisms by which dissipation due to both internal and external degrees of freedom can lead to genuinely non-Hermitian effects such as exceptional points. Together with our experimental partners we aim at bringing novel non-Hermitian topological phenomena to the laboratory.
