Efficient simulation methods for multi-phase flows based on adaptive computational grids in space-time (B05)

Subject Area Fluid Mechanics
Term since 2014
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 236616214

Project Description

The work program of project B05 has three top-level work packages. In the first top-level work package "Preparation for the Solution of Inverse Problems", at first, the process parameters and objective functions will be determined, to subsequently integrate the simulation into an iterative design loop. In the second top-level work package, selected injection molding processes will be optimized and designed with the aid of the inverse simulation. The third work package consists of the further improvement of the accuracy of the phase tracking simulation by means of space-time grids, and the extension to further application fields.
