The goal of this project is to form a rationale for γδ T cell based cellular therapy for control of CMV infection after stem cell transplantation. We used next-generation-sequencing of γδ T cell repertoires before and after transplantation to successfully identify CMV-reactive γδ T cell clones. Next, we will further focus on γδ T cell function in correlation to CMV clearance and we will define the antigen specificity of CMV-reactive γδ T cells.
